Segora Open Poetry Competition
(St.
Clementin in Deux-Sevres, SW France, is thought to be the site of an ancient
Roman city called Segora)
First prize: £100 or equivalent in euros. Second Prize £30 Third Prize £15
Rules and guidelines:
The entries must be:
1. in clearly-presented English, either hand-written or typed
2. of no more than 40 lines excluding the title
3. the exclusive work of the entrant
4. unpublished and not already accepted for publication
5. submitted to be received in France by post on or before the deadline of 14th November, 2008.
6. accompanied by the appropriate entry fee (NB: maximum of 5 poems per entrant)
7.
accompanied by the entry form or by a separate sheet with the entrant’s name,
address, telephone number and email if applicable,
together with the title(s) of the submitted poem(s).
The entries may be:
1. on any subject
2. in a particular form or in free verse
NB: Please ensure that the author is not identifiable on the poetry sheets themselves
