The Writers’ Block - New Course for 2011

A series of original assignments designed to help you find your unique  authorial voice. You may get some surprises along the way as you write in many different forms: poetry, prose, plays, word- games and journals. One purpose is to bypass the inner critic which is often the source of ‘writer’s block.’ Once this is silenced you will find increased confidence and enjoyment in experimenting with words. We draw on art, music, and the best of contemporary writing to offer stimuli which is unusual, informative and exciting. Included in the package of 8 assignments is our thoughtful and encouraging feedback.

£120 for a year’s course of 8 modules with feedback.
£17.50 for a sample assignment tailored to your needs.
‘I was delighted with the material provided. It taught me a great deal about writing, bringing me out of my comfort zone and stretching my imagination. The feedback on my assignments was excellent. The tutors were helpful, friendly and encouraging and halfway through this course I had my first article published. I highly recommend The Writers’ Block and found it to be excellent value.’

‘When I first began The Writer’s Block in 2003 I said somewhat reluctantly, “I’ll have a go at your poetry exercises but I am no poet.” Much to my surprise and delight I have become a published poet and discovered great joy in this pursuit. Recently my poems have appeared in Obsessed with Pipework, Rialto and Orbis. I am now embarking on your new course, Correspondences.’
