Segora Open Poetry Competition - Closing Date November 14 2010

Rules, guidelines and How To Enter:

Rules and guidelines:

The entries must be:

1. in clearly-presented English, either hand-written or typed
2. of no more than 40 lines excluding the title
3. the exclusive work of the entrant
4. unpublished and not already accepted for publication
5. submitted to be received in France by post on or before the deadline of 14th November, 2010.
6. accompanied by the appropriate entry fee
    (NB: maximum of 5 poems per entrant)
7. accompanied by the entry form downloadable below; or by a separate sheet with the
    entrant’s name, address, telephone number and email if applicable, together
    with the title(s) of the submitted poem(s).

The entries may be:

1. on any subject
2. in a particular form or in free verse

NB: Please ensure that the author is not identifiable on the poetry sheets themselves.

Entry fees:

for one poem: £3.50
for two poems: £6
for three poems: £8
for four poems: £9.50
for five poems: £11

Payment may be made by Paypal or by cheque in sterling or Euro equivalent at the time of entry

It is also possible to pay by cheque (in sterling or in Euros) which should be made out to G. A. Simms and posted to:

The judge:

The awards will be decided upon by Roger Elkin, published poet , who will offer his adjudication on this site

No correspondence will be entered into concerning any aspect of the judging process. Winners will be notified on or before January 1st, 2011, by telephone or email.

The prize-winning poems will be published on this website where ideas for creative writing can be freely accessed. Winning and commended poems will appear in the second Segora anthology.
