SEGORA Vignette Competition
The vignette is a word-picture. It may be likened to the art expressed in a cameo or a miniature painting.
It can be insightful, poignant, exciting, amusing or shocking. It may encapsulate a moment of discovery,
or be a precise snapshot conveying something memorable to the reader about a character or an event.
The territory is somewhere between a poem and a short story.

The judge of this first Segora Vignette competition is Dr. Bernard Lord, formerly a GP. He resides in France where he writes poetry, stories and memoirs
No correspondence will be entered into concerning any aspect of the judging process. Winners will be notified on or before April 30th, 2010, by telephone or email. The prize-winning vignettes will be published on this website in 2010 and in the first Segora anthology featuring winning and commended entries to all Segora competitions.
